Today was a very sad day at the MacLean's. Bergen was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma (canine blood cancer) about 3 months ago. A few days ago we learned that it had metasticized into her lungs. We couldn't let her hurt anymore. Justin and I took her in today and stayed with her as she peacefully went to sleep in our arms. Bergen was such a huge part of our lives and she will be greatly missed. It's because of her that the girls will have a life-long love of dogs. Thank you, Bergen, for being our idea of perfection. We couldn't have asked for a better member of our family.

And Bergen was a very lucky dog to have had such a wonderful family. She certainly will be missed by all who were fortunate to be a part of her life.
